What is NEURON?
NEURON WORLD NETWORK® is a global P2P distributed operating system that gives you infinite storage space, extremely fast computational speed, unlimited services through third-party apps, but mostly, a system which bypasses all centralized control, espionage and censorship, giving the Internet back to you.
WHAT IS P2P?
When you use your favorite chat app and send a message to a friend, you think you're sending him/her the message. What in fact is happening is that the message is transiting through a central computer (known as a server) which then sends that message to your friend.

Can the server read your messages? Can it spy on your conversations? Can it steal your private information and data? Of course it can!

Peer-to-peer (P2P) is the solution. Messages go directly to their destination, without traveling through other machines, and can't be traced, spied upon, read or stolen by anyone.

DISTRIBUTED OPERATING SYSTEM?
When you load your files in cloud, you're actually saving them on someone else's computer. You think they're safe and privately stored, but they're not. Over 80% of cloud systems are hacked each year and millions of files are lost forever causing untold damage to private users or companies who lose sensitive data.

Are your cloud files private? Just like conversations, once stored on a computer that is not your own, they can easily be opened and read.

Distributed platforms take your files, split them up, encrypt them, make copies of them and send these copies to tens or even hundreds of other computers connected to the network. Neuron gives you a chance to speak your mind and keep your thoughts to yourself, while allowing friends to come take a peek. Posts are not placed on public servers but remain on your private machine and only a selected few can come and read them. Abuse is punished by the users themselves and not by authorities. Those posting inappropriate material or adopting inappropriate behavior or language are isolated and rendered harmless by other users.
